India Has Demonstrated State Terrorism By Banning Hijab

LAHORE: Amir Shujauddin Sheikh of Tanzeem-e-Islami (TI) has said that the ban on female students wearing hijab by the Indian state of Karnataka is a shining example of state terrorism.

In a statement issued here on Wednesday, he said that the ban on hijab in educational institutions in the Indian state of Karnataka was a clear step towards Hindutva and an open demonstration of hostility towards Islam and Muslims.

He said that the Islamophobia of the Hindus had gone so mad that the state administration of Karnataka had imposed a ban on the issue of hijab even before the court ruled on it.

Moreover, extremist Hindus have openly violated the Constitution of India, which guarantees the protection of the basic human and religious rights of all citizens.
