Ameer e Jama,at Islami Siraj ul Haq
said that the whole
nation is suffering from a great tragedy. The government should apologize to
the people for the loss of more than 1000 precious lives. The announcement of five lakh
rupees per capita aid is shameful. He said that if the top ten richest people in the country donate the Zakat of their wealth, there will be no need for international organizations. The Amir of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan said
that the flood did not come suddenly. And the government did not make any
arrangements to save the people despite the predictions. The former senator
said that the political parties are requested to save the nation beyond the
political differences. The recommendations of the
Federal Flood Commission, after the floods of 2010, were not implemented. He further said that it is a
pity that all the governments have not built dams. If dams have been built this water would have turned wastelands and deserts green instead of destruction. The governments are sleeping. In the recent floods, aerial
surveys in copters create a spectacle. He further said that five young men were
waiting for a helicopter for five hours and a country with nuclear power of 22
crores could not arrange a helicopter for five hours. And Jamaat-e-Islami will
arrange for the helicopter. There has been an offer to fund the helicopter from
abroad. So Al-Khidmat Foundation should decide when to get the helicopter. Amir
Jamaat-e-Islami said that overseas Pakistanis are requested to play their role. Foreign NGOs bring their culture in the name of help. So please send your
overseas money to Al-Khidmat Foundation. We are well-wishers of humanity. We
will deliver your money to where it is needed.
